Part II Architectural Assistant : London Studio


Main Purpose:

Due to an expanding range of projects, we are seeking a talented, design-focussed RIBA Part II Architectural Assistant to join our London Studio. Sharing our creative energy, the ideal candidate would be passionate about contextual, narrative-led design, driven for personal development and growth and have a collaborative mindset.

This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of our dynamic team and support our design culture. With many opportunities to develop and grow, responsibility will develop and increase as the candidate works their way to becoming an architect.

Reporting Lines:

Project Leader of the current project on a day-to-day basis and ultimately to the Studio Director.

Expected Tasks and Responsibilities::

The successful candidate will be contributing to projects within a range of sectors, working alongside project architects and directors with the common goal of high-quality design. The role will require excellent communication skills to work within the team with a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and commitment to independent and lifelong learning.

Self-motivation is key, and candidates should demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks though good time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. Utilising good verbal, written and graphic communication skills will be key.

Candidates with excellent design skills, evidence of a good design understanding and a strong, demonstrable ability to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project will be preferred.


The Role

Qualifications

RIBA Part I and RIBA Part II or equivalent

Software

Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, demonstrable working knowledge of CAD software

Experience

Experience at Part I or equivalent year out

AutoCAD, Revit (these are preferred but training will be provided)

Any other relevant experience welcomed but not essential

Remuneration:
