The Morrisons store provides this area of Cardiff with a major new Food Store which redevelops a brownfield site on the edge of Pen-y-lan and creates a gateway development and focal point visible from the Southern Way flyover and surroundings.

A major new road junction was constructed which provides clarity of access from Newport Road, not only into the site but into the surrounding retail and commercial estates. This has also enabled improved pedestrian and cycle routes to be incorporated into the overall development. The development is comprised of a food store constructed on stilts above an undercroft car park. A petrol filling station was also constructed.
