OLD SWAN HOTEL : HARROGATE

Sectors : Hotel / Leisure

Client : Paragon Hotels / Macdonald Hotels

Located in 5 acres of landscaped gardens the property began life as an 18th Century coaching inn that was rebuilt in 1840.

The historic hotel is well known for being home to Agatha Christie during her famous disappearance in 1926. A multi-million pound refurbishment programme transformed this tired property into a sophisticated destination hotel. Our considered design for the refurbishment of all guest bedrooms, public areas and restoration of the Victorian Conservatory reflects the history of the property and is sympathetic to the natural charm and beauty of the hotel. The use of traditional fabrics and furniture combined with existing architectural features and lighting gives a revitalised feeling of elegance and charm.
