DLA developed proposals for a 344no bed student accommodation scheme in Coventry. The site includes a former outpatients’ clinic (1909) and nurses’ home (1906) for Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital built to a design by Alfred Hessell Tiltman (1854-1910) and Herbert William Chattaway (1855-1940).
The scheme sees the restoration of the two grade II listed buildings at the heart of the scheme with two new buildings to complement the existing historic setting. The proposed student common room is located within the original Outpatients waiting area with its tall octagonal volume dominating the space and creating a unique sense of place.
