Job Role: Associate Architect


About:

Andrew is an Associate Architect in the Manchester studio with several years post-Part 3 experience. He joined DLA Architecture in 2014, following his architectural education at the University of Nottingham and the Manchester School of Architecture. Andrew has a breadth of experience across all work stages and a variety of sectors, including large and small scale residential and commercial projects, as well as a variety of industrial master plans and leisure projects.

Notable projects include the restoration of the former Shot Tower and leadworks in Chester, the Halo and Waterhouse apartment buildings in Manchester city centre and the Mere Grange industrial park in St Helens.

Other Interests:

Outside of work Andrew, enjoys numerous outdoor activities, regularly playing a variety of sports including golf and football as well as being a keen runner and walker. He also enjoys travelling and improving his DIY skills.


Favourite Design / Building:

With a love for modern and rational architecture, Andrew’s favourite buildings include the Nordic Pavillion by Sverre Fehn, the Museum of Modern Literature by David Chipperfield and the Glass House by Philip Johnson. Designs that he considers to be truly timeless.
