Job Role: Part 1 Architectural Assistant
Eleanor graduated from Manchester School of Architecture with a BA (Hons) degree in Architecture, where she was in the Atelier USE which specialises in having an ecological and sensitive approach to design. Eleanor’s final year project was an Alzheimer’s Respite Centre, which took a sensory approach to memory by using the arts, aromatherapy and counselling to help retain memory and brain activity after the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s.
In my spare time, I like to travel as much as possible and document it through photography and sketching. Some of my favourite cities I have been in the past are Porto, Ottawa and Venice; and in the future I’d love to visit Japan and South Korea.
Favourite Design / Building:
My favourite building is Kolumba Museum in Cologne designed by Peter Zumthor, because I believe it is a perfect example of how historic and contemporary architecture can combine to create harmonious design. I have never been but I would love to!
