About:

Mark is an Architect and Head of Design.  Having joined the practice 2006 Mark operates across all office locations and drives the future design direction of the practice to create thought-provoking architecture. His inquiry and interpretation of a client brief and site, authentically informs the design response leading to the creation of functional, adaptable and elegant buildings. 

He is a passionate advocate for contextual and integrated design. Mark’s involvement is often in the early, conceptual design phases of a project, yet he ensures design continuity and quality is at every stage of a project, as well as encouraging the sharing of expertise across the various project teams. His interest in materiality and architectural rhythm is evident in his experience and demonstrated by award winning projects across the UK.

Mark has brought innovative design leadership to many of the practice’s key projects including The Majestic, Channel 4’s new HQ in Leeds, Central SQ, one of the first BREEAM Outstanding speculative office developments in the UK and is currently leading the design and master planning of Lisbon St, Leeds, a dynamic new mixed-use quarter in Leeds’ West End.
