Building Safety Act
The new Building Regulations came into force on the 1st October 2023 and are now applicable to all projects in England and Wales. The key aim of the regulations is to integrate design work compliance and building work compliance into the management of the project and to encourage everyone involved to work together accordingly to see that the completed project is compliant with all relevant requirements of the Building Regulations.
We have been undertaking the new Principal Designer role on a range of projects including Higher-Risk Buildings where we are appointed as the architect, in addition we are providing architectural services and principal designer services in respect of the remediation of non-ACM Cladding Systems via the Building Safety Fund (BSF) and with Participant Developers via the Self Remediation Terms (SRT).
