Arla £179m Mozzarella Facility On-Site

Construction begins on Arla’s most significant UK investment in over a decade

We are delighted to share that Arla Foods Ltds new £179 million mozzarella production facility has officially started onsite with bulk earthworks and ground improvement almost complete. This marks the beginning of construction on a transformative project that will create over 100 new jobs and significantly strengthen the UK’s food manufacturing sector.

Innovation, functionality, and adaptability underpin the way we design across the logistics and industrial landscape. Our longstanding relationships with leading clients, including Unilever, Nestlé and Arla, demonstrate our commitment to delivering facilities where performance, resilience, and efficiency are a priority.

This ground-breaking milestone follows nearly two years of close collaboration between our team, Arla, and the wider consultants. As Architect and Building Regulations Principal Designer, we have ensured that the facility’s technical, operational, and regulatory priorities remain at the centre of the design.

The purpose-built facility has been developed to:

  • Substantially reduce production times
  • Enhance product quality and drive innovation
  • Respond flexibly to customer-specific requirements

With a future-ready approach, we have created a building capable of adapting to emerging production technologies, supporting Arla’s long-term operational objectives and reinforcing its commitment to UK manufacturing.

We are proud to reach this milestone and look forward to seeing the project progress.
