Part 1 Architectural Assistant

About

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic individual with good communication skills to work as part of our multi-disciplinary team. The role will involve working on a wide range of project types and scales, ranging from small scale interventions within listed buildings, to complex high rise new build projects in constrained city centre locations. We will provide the successful candidate with experience of all RIBA workstages from concept to completion, working within a collaborative studio environment.  

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Assist project leaders with all aspects of their projects, including the production drawings, models, 3d visualisations, feasibility studies, design reports and presentations.   
• Pursue ideas and develop concept schemes working with the project architect.  
• Demonstrate resourcefulness and willingness to research and develop new ideas and solutions.  
• Participate in presentations, site visits, client meetings, sub-contractor and other meetings.  
• Demonstrate knowledge of construction methods and materials, and a desire to engage with and understand the importance of architectural detail.  
• Develop an understanding of our procedures and standards including our Business Management System.  
• Keep abreast of technological developments and attend technical and professional society meetings and seminars. 
• Adhere to the RIBA Code of Professional Conduct & record evidence of your professional experience in accordance with the requirements of the RIBA (or equivalent).
