Gia San Tu

Architect

San qualified as an Architect at the Bartlett School of Architecture, where she completed both her Part 2 and Part 3. She joined DLA at the beginning of 2024, bringing with her a breadth of experience across small-scale residential and conservation projects.

Alongside practice, San has been actively involved in academia. She has contributed to publications and participated as a guest critic for the Architecture and Interior Architecture departments at the University of Westminster, as well as holding a role as a design tutor at the Bartlett Summer School. She now also mentors work experience students within the office, supporting emerging designers at the early stages of their careers.

With a strong passion for making, San has previous experience as a professional model maker. As someone of mixed and minority cultural heritage, she is committed to crafting spaces that not only embrace but safeguard diverse cultures and languages.

Beyond architecture, San maintains a collection of rare tropical plants and continues to research propagation techniques and controlled environments, exploring the relationship between cultivation, care, and spatial design.
