Laura McGregor

Laura joined DLA in 2019, she has over 20 years’ experience working on a variety of projects primarily within the education sector, from primary schools through to university campuses. Having led the design and delivery of schools for several major contractors including NZCiO projects, along with developing compliant standardised school designs and kit of parts for contractors’ solutions, she has supported a range of national DfE school frameworks including CF21.

With a degree Architectural Technology BSc (Hons) from Sheffield Hallam University, Laura has valuable knowledge of producing and managing work packages at all stages of the design and construction process. This includes bidding expertise, leading front-end design and client engagement process with the DfE, Local Authorities and school representatives.

In addition to her day to day role Laura is passionate about mentoring junior members of staff and imparting knowledge and lessons learnt.

Outside of work Laura spends most of her time either walking the dog, swimming (in the lake when it’s warm enough), pottering in the garden or eating chocolate.
