Job Role: Associate Architect
Charles received his Bachelor and Masters in Architecture at the Intitut National des Beaux-Arts in Beirut in 2009 and worked in Beirut for almost 5 years on multi-disciplinary local and international projects before deciding to re-launch his career in London.
Since joining DLA in 2014, Charles was involved in designing and delivering residential and mixed-use projects of different scale in London and around the UK. My enrolment in the MSc Housing and City Planning at the Bartlett allowed me to mainly focus on mixed-use and residential projects and helped me develop my expertise in frontend design, from producing feasibility / viability studies to planning applications. During that period, I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients ranging from major private developers and homebuilders, housing associations and landowners. This program also allowed me to gain a rounded knowledge of housing developments delivery process through different routes (private, public or joint ventures). It also offered an understanding of different various of the industry i.e. financing and economics of speculative developments as well as management and delivery process.
Charles is currently working on a variety of residential and mixed-use feasibility schemes within the London Studio.
