Craig Cook

Associate Director

Craig is a Chartered Architect, joining DLA in 2005, he provides expertise in design management and delivery across several building types. With three decades of architecture experience, Craig has encountered most complexities that occur with urban sites as well as technical and design issues within the construction process. As well as his experience in new build projects, Craig has also delivered significant refurbishment projects.

Craig’s’ approach to architecture begins with the emphasis that he places on maintaining consistency of the design concept from the large scale through to the detail. This has enabled him to develop expertise in construction techniques and consultant relations in order to deliver buildings that answer complex and challenging architectural briefs across a wide range of sectors, including commercial offices and leisure, education and residential. In particular, Craig’s understanding of envelope design and energy use within buildings has enabled DLA to deliver market-leading sustainability performance in both new-build and challenging retrofit projects.

While at DLA, Craig has completed Commercial & Mixed-use developments in Leeds, London, Liverpool, Skipton and South Wales; Student Residential projects in Leeds, York and Manchester and Durham; and Education projects in Leeds and Hull.
