David Bryan
Associate
- Location Leeds
David joined DLA in 1994 as an architectural technician, having worked for a small practice in Leeds for 6 years prior to this. Graduating from Leeds Polytechnic in 1988 with a HND in Building Studies, he has a wealth of experience and has worked in most sectors over the years, with a particular emphasis on technical compliance and project delivery. Previously a key member of the major projects team, until in 2018, when owing to personal matters, he reduced his working week to 4 days.
David is very ‘hands on’ and still enjoys being involved in the production drawing stage of projects in addition to acting as project lead. He prefers AutoCad as the key delivery software but has overseen and coordinated projects using Revit.
He continues to provide technical advice and mentoring to DLA staff members, a number of which have progressed to high managerial levels within DLA.
Outside of work, David is a man of many interests. He enjoys painting, having created a number of surreal compositions since he resumed his artistic endeavours in 2014. David also plays the bass guitar. He is a keen gardener and DIY enthusiast. He is interested in all things military. David also looks forward to his extended weekends, which, with his wife, can variously include looking after their grandchildren, visiting one of numerous favourite eateries in North Yorkshire usually coupled with a visit to a stately home, garden, art gallery or browsing antique shops (looking for illusive bargains – with occasional success!)
