Iain Jones

Iain is a Chartered Technologist & Associate Director, joining DLA in 2004. He has extensive experience of a range of sectors, with particular expertise within residential, Student Living and Sports developments.

Skilled in project running, Technical Design, and problem solving, Iain is passionate about people and technical innovation. Working from Inception through to completion including client liaison and coordination of specialist contractors he helps projects strike a balance between the aspirational and practical.

An advocate for design education and community engagement Iain frequently participates in lectures, workshops and mentoring to share his expertise and passion for architecture with the next generation. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (FCIAT), Iain heads up the internal DLA Technical Forum and sits on the CIAT National Project Taskforce.

As Iain spends the majority of his working life indoors, he likes to spend most of his personal life outside with his family, enjoying hiking, football and skiing. He is a huge fan of music and films and is quite proud of his varied taste in each.
