Christopher Hardy

Chris qualified with a BA (Hons) and MA in Landscape Architecture from Manchester Metropolitan University and is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI). He joined DLA in 2005 and brings over 25 years of experience in commercial design practices. Throughout his career, he has worked collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams across various sectors, including retail, residential, commercial/industrial, reclamation, education, and healthcare. Projects range from intimate courtyards and roof terraces to large green infrastructure initiatives.

Experienced in working with AutoCAD, Keyscape, Adobe Creative Suite, NBS Chorus, Word, and Excel. Chris has comprehensive experience in project delivery across RIBA stages 1-6, covering concept design and master planning, detailed design, planning and technical information, contract administration, construction stage monitoring, and landscape clerk of works services.

In addition to his professional work, he engages in research and knowledge sharing related to sustainable landscape design. When not at work he coaches junior football and enjoys outdoor sports such as mountain biking and snowboarding, as well as garden design.
